Sticting Emission Claim is committed to the work of its mission and supporting Dutch citizens, as well as all of those impacted by emission pollution. To that end, the Foundation pledges to commit the larger of 10% of the total settlement value of litigation, or remaining funds after administration to claimants, to advocacy and the efforts of organisations which advance our efforts, such as:

Netherlands Mission Free 2030

A switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy so that by 2030, all new passenger vehicles sold in the Netherlands must be zero-emission. The preparation of a national long-term strategy follows the European agreement laid down in the Governance Regulation (EU 2018/1999, Article 15). The Dutch Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan 2021-2030 (NECP) contains the main priorities of the climate and energy policy for the next 10 years. The Netherlands approach centers on incentivizing electric vehicles and has the highest density of electric vehicles and chargers per 100 km, worldwide.

European Climate Foundation

(“ECF”) Whose mission is to work with a network of hundreds of organizations that share the common goal of bringing Europe into alignment with the Paris Agreement objectives. This is done through economic growth, social justice, and innovation. The ECF’s role is to help organizations set an agenda focusing on the transition to a net-zero emission economy. ECF engages in advocacy to impact EU policy making – this is achieved through consulting labor unions, parenting groups, consumer groups etc., 75 % of the grants go to Europe and their partners operate in most European countries. The ECF is present in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Spain, and TurkeyECF is endorsed by the IKEA Foundation, Climate Works Foundation, High Tide Foundation, William Flora Hewlett Foundation, The Grantham Foundation, Growald Family Fund, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Oak Foundation, Stiftung Mercator.

Breakthrough Energy

Whose mission is to avoid the worst impact of climate change by stopping the adding of greenhouses gasses by 2050 by supporting cutting-edge research and development, investing in companies that turn green ideas into clean products and tools, and advocating for policies that speed up the innovation from lab to market. Breakthrough Energy Ventures-Europe (BEV-E) is a first-of-a-kind €100 million pilot fund that invests in groundbreaking technologies to decarbonize every part of the economy. It was created in May 2019 as a partnership between Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV) and the European Commission (EC), a worldwide leader in establishing climate targets and supporting clean energy research and development. Breakthrough Energy is endorsed by Jeff Bezos, Marc Benioff, Mike Bloomberg, Richard Branson, Reid Hoffman, Jack Ma, George Soros, Tom Steyer, Meg Whitman, Mark Zuckerberg, Nat Simons, Mukesh Amban.

Generation Climate Europe (GCE)

coalition of youth-led NGOs at the European level whose objective is to push for stronger action from the EU on climate and environmental issues. GCE engages in advocacy and advancing their agenda through media messaging and social media channels. GCE believes that the EU can do more and better and that corporations must not be saved at the expense of the planet and people.
